Kars Tour with Eastern Express (Ankara > Kars)

Tour Program

A white city; Kars. We will enjoy nostalgia with the Eastern express, the sleigh on Lake Çıldır and the Ani Ruins with its history.

Day 1: Ankara> Kars Travel Touristic East Express

After meeting at Ankara railway station at 16:00, we settle in our rooms in our TCDD Touristic East Express Sleeper and start a nice train journey starting from 16.55 We will have the opportunity to see the transition of each color of Anatolia from season to season. Dinner will be taken freely on the train. Accommodation in the train rooms.

Day 2: Kemaliye-Erzincan-Erzurum

We arrive at the iliç station at 6:05 am and drive our Kemaliye-Karanlık Canyon for 3 hours.After visiting the historical structures and streets of Kemaliye, we make our boat tour in the canyon.

We go to Kars for 3 hours after visiting Erzurum's historical buildings and having dinner and moving to Kars. We arrive at our hotel in Kars.

Day 3: Ani Ruins and Çıldır Lake ❄️

After having breakfast in the hotel, we go to Ani Ruins, which was formerly the most important settlement area of ​​the region, which is located on the Armenian border. We walk around Ani, which is even more impressive under the snow, and then take a break. After seeing Yalınçayır Village, Malakan Village, we reach Çıldır Lake.

Although Lake Çıldır is frozen in winter, the ice-breakers and the fishers offer an interesting view. It is possible to take a tour with the sleighs on the lake, which turns to an expansive ice rink.

Day 4: Sarıkamış> Selim> Center of Kars

After having breakfast in the hotel, we move to Sarıkamış. After visiting the Martyrs' Monument on the way, we see Katerina Pavilion and go to Selim. We go to the javelin show in Selim Kekeç village. We will have the opportunity to see the wide streets, the planned settlement, the buildings of the Russians and the historical structures of the city in a panoramic way.

After dinner, we will settle into our rooms in our TCDD touristic East Express bed wagon at Kars Railway Station at 23:30 and start a long and beautiful train journey starting from 23.55. During our travel we will have the opportunity to see the transition of each color of Anatolia from season to season.

Day 5 Kars> Airport

After having breakfast in our hotel, we end the tour with our transfer to the airport.
