Menekşe Plateau Trekking

PROGRAM

After leaving Istanbul in the morning we set out for Aytepe. (Our breakfast packages are distributed on the way). Then we start our journey which will take approximately 1 hour. Our vehicles bring us to the beginning of the course and load our backpacks and start hiking.

After completing the final preparations and sharing the food, we start walking on the dirt road. After a half-hour downhill walk, we arrive at Uncle Veysel's gazebo. This place is a haven frequented by walkers, always a safe place in cold weather with a burning fire .Tea and coffee are always ready for service. After some rest here, we cross the bridge across the creek and enter the forest path.

The first 45 minutes we walk on the slope. Towards the end of the slope, we deviate from the path and go to Şahin Kaya. Here we will take a breath and take a look at the magnificent view of Beşkayalar Canyon. Şahin Kaya Rock is a steep block rising from the valley floor, so it is best not to take jumping photos here. After a photo break, the slope is completed with a 10-minute walk. After that, we walk through the almost straight path and get close to the plateau when we hit the dirt road again. 15 minutes after entering the path to the plateau, we will reach the Pastor's Pasture. This is a flat grassy area with a stream flowing through the middle of our lunch.

While preparing lunch, you can go up to the plateau which is 15 minutes away and you can relax in the wide grassy area. The plateau is 800 meters high and is still used. Livestock farming is not done, but still continues. Convenient place in photography. You will see plenty of mountain violets named after the plateau.

After lunch, the return march begins. Same route, we're going back the way we came. Uncle Veysel's pavilion in the last break after taking our tea and then go down the hill at first we complete the track. We will be in Istanbul around 19.30 according to the road and weather conditions.

MEALS

Breakfast: Sandwich, Cake, Fruit Juice

Lunch: Sausage barbecue, mushrooms, cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant butter, halvah, fruit, cold drinks, wafers
